One of those hospitalized, a man who was beaten and stabbed for his car, was taken to HCA Florida Kendall Hospital in critical condition, MDSO said.
That man was found by deputies answering a call at Southwest 67th Avenue and Bird Road, about a mile west of Coral Gables, around 8:45 p.m. Other calls about armed robberies and carjackings came from Southwest 137th Avenue and Miller Road and a Chevron at Southwest 157th Avenue and Kendall Drive. Those victims were in stable condition, MDSO said, when taken to a hospital.

The man matching the description of the carjacker was found running away from the last car reported stolen, MDSO said, near Southwest 152nd Avenue and Sunset Drive. Deputies eventually caught up to him and took him into custody.
Neither the names of the victims nor the person taken into custody have been released.
