Gas prices in South Florida

Miami-Dade: The average price: $4.42 on Friday, May 8, a 13-cent increase since Monday, according to AAA.

Fort Lauderdale: $4.53, a 14-cent increase since Monday.

West Palm Beach/Boca Raton: $4.63 a 13-cent increase since Monday.

Florida price at the pump

Average: The average price for a gallon of gas in Florida on Friday, May 8, according to AAA, is $4.49, a 15-cent increase since Monday.

U.S. price at the pump

Average: The average price for a gallon of gas across the country on Friday, May 8, according to AAA, is $4.54, a 10-cent increase since Monday.
