A Miami mall and two others in Florida have made a Top 10 list. Get the rundown

Aventura Mall has been named the Best Mall in the United States in the 2026 USA Today Readers’ Choice Awards.

The sprawling Northeast Miami-Dade shopping complex, the largest in Florida and fifth largest in the country, also won the inaugural Best Mall category in the 2025 readers’ choice survey.

How big is Aventura Mall? Big enough that Brightline added a dedicated stop across the street, the rankings noted.

The only other South Florida mall to rank in the USA Today 10 Best Malls poll was Town Center at Boca Raton, at No. 10. Orlando’s The Mall at Millenia was No. 5.

That gives the state three malls among the 10 best. Aventura was the only Florida mall to score in 2025.

“Being named once again as the Best Mall in America is an incredible honor and a testament to the experiences created every day for our guests, tenants, and community,” Jackie Soffer, chairman and chief executive officer of Turnberry,” said in a statement.

The selling points that swayed readers’ favor, according to Aventura:

• A curated selection of next-gen luxury and retail hotspots. To make its South Florida debut with two stores in the fall, the Gen Z hotspot for casual wear, Uniqlo, opted for Aventura and, 13 miles to the south. The Spanish fast fashion brand, Bershka, plans its first U.S. physical location at Aventura at a date to be determined. Other Aventura newbies such as On, Celine, Missoni, Rimowa and Revolve are also expected soon.
• A culture hub that has turned sections of Aventura into a museum and community gathering spot highlighted by the ARTS Aventura Mall collection of installations.
• Tie-ins with hot events around town. For instance, the 2026 FIFA World Cup at Hard Rock Stadium about seven miles to the west. The mall’s hosting match viewing gatherings at several lounges at Aventura Mall and Tthe adjoining Abbey complex. World Cup merch and clothing can be had at an Official FIFA Store and a jersey wall representing the 48 nations at the tournament can populate your Instagram for the month-long FIFA run in Miami.

In May, Aventura reported a first quarter growth of 9% year-over-year and customers are spending more time there — 104 minutes between January and May, compared to an hour a year earlier.

“This recognition reflects our unwavering commitment to continually evolving the retail experience through a distinct combination of world-class shopping, dining, art, entertainment, and community programming that sets Aventura Mall apart on a national level,” Soffer said.

Three malls that ranked among the 10 best last year fell off the list this year: Scottsdale Fashion Square in Arizona, Tysons Corner Center in Virginia and Brookfield Place in New York City.
