Scooter rider killed by hit-and-run driver in Miami, police say
A man on a scooter died after being struck by a car early Tuesday morning, according to police.

At around 4 a.m., officers responded to the area of Northwest Seventh Avenue and Seventh Street after reports of a man in the roadway.
The man, in his 30s, was taken to the hospital in critical condition by Miami Fire Rescue. He later died.

Police shut down Northwest Seventh Avenue between Sixth and Eighth streets to investigate.
