Tank Bigsby Head to IR List, Needs Core Muscle Surgery

Reserve running back Tank Bigsby is headed to the injured reserve list due to a core muscle injury that requires surgery, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Bigsby suffered the injury in the fourth quarter of Philadelphia’s 24-20 Week 4 loss to the Los Angeles Rams.

Since he’s being placed on IR, that means that Bigsby will miss Philadelphia’s next four games, at least. His absence is likely to extend beyond that, given the severity of the injury.

On the season, Bigsby has tallied 91 yards and a touchdown on 28 carries.
